CAS covers some 10,000 currently published journals and patents from 57 patent authorities worldwide. The CAS Registry is the source and most reliable collection of CAS Registry Numberī€  identifiers. CAS' SciFinder and STN services make this content accessible for search and analysis. STN is operated by CAS in cooperation with FIZ Karlsruhe and is represented in Japan by JAICI.

CAS chemical information services include: STN, a database network operated jointly by CAS and FIZ Karlsruhe; STN AnaVist for patent and competitive intelligence analysis/visualization; and ScienceIP, a team of searchers who perform searches of CAS databases and others on demand.
